Magnificent mountain scenery - Explore Litochoro

Image
On the third day the weather was not suitable for a lazy beach day so we decided to see what's there to do in the resort. We opted for a mount Olympus visit and it was amazing! Very beautiful and even though it was rather chilly we still had great time! We got to the mountain with the cars and had a quick walk to the waterfall - it's small and noisy and quite fresh! We walked less than an hour and the path finished straight in it. At the beginning of the path there was a very nice guy selling magnets who was from Bulgaria and we chatted for a while - he was the one to tell us about the waterfall and was great with the instructions! The waterfall It's not the biggest we've seen but yet it's very refreshing! After that we went back and had the option to take a photo of this great view: Very impressive! On the way down we managed to take a look at a monastery with beautiful church:  So even though it was the last d

Bellagio Hotel, Fourka - relaxing gardens and pool

Image
In Fourka I booked the Bellagio hotel for a 7 night All Inclusive holiday. Looked like the best option cost-wise and the location still looked very nice - close to the beach, with own pool and on AI. Besides, before booking anything I always check the reviews from customers who have already been there just to make sure what I'm looking at.  We found it easily and parked at the hotel's own parking - it was free of charge and there was enough space for the guest cars. It's located right behind the rooms, in the forest.  We had 3 meals each day - breakfast, lunch and dinner including the drinks at all times - in the restaurant and from the bar. Surprisingly there wasn't a huge variety of alcoholic drinks - I expected ouzo and other typical Greek delights however there were none. We had choice between beer and wine, which was fine with me however we expected more considering it was All Inclusive and not Full Board Plus.  Food - it was nice, they tried to pr

Things to do in Fourka

Fourka is a small village located on the first peninsula of Halkidiki- Kassandra. It's very nice when looking for a relaxing break and for 7 nights there I only saw one bar - open every night with no customers at around 9-10 pm so not sure if it's suitable for a wild vacation. However it has an amazing location as it's close to the nearby beaches - within 15 kilometers you can locate the Kallitheas, Siviri and Possidi beaches which are all extremely famous! So for 7 nights we managed to visit a total of 5 Greece beaches - we went to 1 of them - Fourka beach by foot - it was within an 8 minutes walk from the hotel we were staying at; then to Kallitheas, Siviri and Possidi by car and we also managed to visit Toroni beach thanks to our Kassandra cruise . View from the sunbed at the bar During one of the days the weather was not perfect so the best we could do was enjoy our time near the pool and hope that it will get better. We had mainly Greek music from the bar and

Explore Litochoro - Day 2

Image
On our second day in Litochoro we had great time by the pool!  It was amazing with nice weather and relatively cold pool water. It seems like the perfect time of the year to get tan as in the hot summer months - June, July and August it's too hot - it feels like the sun is burning a whole through my skin which is a very strange feeling!  We didn't have lunch as part of the package which was still alright as we still wanted to explore the place. Our hotel was not located in the resort center, we were very close to the beach and sea so if we wanted to go to the actual city we had to use the cars. We went there by car anyway so we didn't have any issues with this.  After dinner we decided to explore the resort and try the local restaurants even though we had dinner at the hotel. Quite frankly - it was not the best of the dinners. We do like food of great quality and one of us has a business dedicated to great sea food so we did want to see how the locals would do i

Explore A Beach! - Kallitheas!

Image
Love Summer15 ? How about a beach exploration journey? This summer I went to a couple of beaches including the Kallitheas beach in Greece! Amazing waters and there were so many people and still it was peaceful and relaxing: Many beach bars - in Greece it's easy to get a sunbed and an umbrella - you just order coffee and you're ready to go! People are very nice and of course very friendly when it comes to the tourists! if you can visit the beach - definitely do! There are suitable places to leave the car at so certainly there is no need to worry about it! And you can totally spend the whole day at the beach - you can order food, drinks, anything you may need and enjoy the amazing water! It's crystal clear and you can see small fishes enjoying life as it is! The weather during our stay was sunny and with very light wind which made it seem even hotter. We went there at the end of June and had great time - there were many people and as yet it was still clean and

Explore Koral

Image
Koral is an amazing beach very close to Lozenetz with absolutely no bars, umbrellas, sunbeds. Nothing. The beach is completely concession free which makes it extremely wild and perfect for the most relaxing, budget and stress-free day on the beach. Just because no one is taking care of the beach, it doesn't necessarily mean that you should avoid it. Exactly the opposite - the people who visit the beach obviously realize that it's important to keep it clean and thanks to that there is no rubbish anywhere on the beach. It's an amazing long shore and the water is clean and shiny so this is the best place to enjoy a quite day on a marvelous beach. Here is a picture of the amazing shore. The road to there is not the perfect one so be prepared. There are parking spots though - we managed to park nearly on the road, there is a small area to leave the car but in the woods there is a camping so some of the guests were leaving the cars within meters to the beach.
