Explore Litochoro - Day 2

On our second day in Litochoro we had great time by the pool! 

It was amazing with nice weather and relatively cold pool water. It seems like the perfect time of the year to get tan as in the hot summer months - June, July and August it's too hot - it feels like the sun is burning a whole through my skin which is a very strange feeling! 

We didn't have lunch as part of the package which was still alright as we still wanted to explore the place. Our hotel was not located in the resort center, we were very close to the beach and sea so if we wanted to go to the actual city we had to use the cars. We went there by car anyway so we didn't have any issues with this. 

After dinner we decided to explore the resort and try the local restaurants even though we had dinner at the hotel. Quite frankly - it was not the best of the dinners. We do like food of great quality and one of us has a business dedicated to great sea food so we did want to see how the locals would do it considering that there should be a wide variety of delicious sea food. 

The guys tried the octopus - sorry I couldn't, but it doesn't seem delicious to me at all. I tried the squids which were very nice. Totally a meal I could have again!


They offered us desserts as a compliment which was very sweet of them and it was great! The perfect gesture in combination with a delicious delight!


To locate the restaurant we checked TripAdvisor and went to the highest rated place at the time. We found out that the atmosphere was great, the people there were nice, we had delicious meals and they also recommended a nice drink. It wasn't expensive so this was probably one of the best decisions. 

After dinner we chilled at the terrace. Our rooms were located on the ground floor which was perfect as we could go from the terrace to the pool directly without having to go through half the hotel. No one said anything about the noise - not sure whether the other guests were so very nice or our part of the hotel was half empty. There were definitely people at the private villas with own pool however not sure about the rooms above ours. Anyways, it was still perfect and fun besides we did have a great relaxing night.

If you are planning a trip to Skiathos, you have most probably heard about Lalaria beach. This amazing "must-see" destination which is hard to reach but worth it. I myself was very passionate about seeing it and have no regrets.       How to go there? There is a number of options as many companies offer boat tours. The combined ones seemed great to me as they give the opportunity to visit Lalaria and Tsougrias the same day so you don't have to give away two of your days for beaching, but just one. Issos Beach, Corfu

This is one of the southern beaches of the island and was great!  If you love beach bars, this may not be your place - the bars there are not like the ones at other beaches, but the beach itself is very nice!  Fine golden sand, crystal-clear water... Exactly what I wanted - line which I used almost every day looking at my feet through the magical small waves we had.  At the place where we chose to sit, there was a small bar from which we could get drinks and food - salads, sandwiches, Aperol.... And it was nice since there was light music. The toilette was close too - just up the hill. With the locker from the outer side... :D In general, I would recommend the south beaches - no stones, the water is exactly as one would expect from a Greek island.... There are umbrellas and sunbeds - the cost for 2 beds and the umbrella is 7 euro, which I find reasonable. There is free zone too. Wake Up! - Varvara Day 2

Had a second day at the Wake Up beach. It is amazing and I couldn't stop myself from visiting it again. This time the water was not as clean as the previous day, however the place was still as wild and great!  As I have already tried the yoga, this time I decided that I can skip it and try something new instead. Krassen still had a group and everyone is always welcomed to join, it's a very open event, however I was  not in a workout mode.  Instead I wanted to take a walk on the cliffs and be able to enjoy the view from there! Looked amazing!  I also like to try something new and see a different view or the same from a different angle as this gives amazing opportunities. Taking a walk on the cliffs on the left, I followed a path between the trees and bushes and if you follow it to the end you will be able to enjoy the same view - there is a very small secluded area where the sea touches the shore and manages to transform the rocks into pebble beach.
