Reaching back in history in the Sofia History Museum

It's a place dedicated entirely to the history of the capital where you can see how the city changes and grows from at least 7000 BCE till today. The exhibition follows the historical order and is very easy to enjoy and really tourist-friendly with documentaries projected on the walls with both Bulgarian and English narrators.

It's impressive to see the exhibition but it's also nice to enjoy what the narrators have to say- curious facts in an easy to understand language.

There are numerous halls dedicated to different time periods and things to see- from icons to a Mercedes and a train.
One of the six
I found out with surprise that Tsar Boris III was a huge fan and had 6 of those babies. One of them can be seen in the museum and honestly - it seems to be in a very good shape!

I was personally impressed the most by the halls which represented the recent days - there were fantastic presents given to a Bulgarian prince or tsar by other countries' rulers who are not just beautiful but also huge in dimensions and meaning. There were also the thrones of Tsar Boris III and Tsaritsa Yoanna as pronounced in Bulgarian (Giovanna of Italy).

The tax for the museum is very low and the opening hours are long enough for one to enjoy the exhibit.

One of the most impressive parts of the exhibit for me:

Fabulous desk - an amazing present!
I love it - it's not just huge and beautiful - it's unique! And imagine the feeling to receive such a desk as a present from one of the world leaders at the time!

Enjoy your time in the museum and share your thoughts!
