What to do in Belgrade, Serbia

First of all- definitely dedicate some spare time just to randomly walk around the city and feel the local athmosphere.

Yes, I'm a person who always has a plan and who always wants to see all remarkable andpopular tourist   places just because I know I may never return and want to make sure I don't miss anything while I have the opportunity to see it or live it!

But at the same time - the sightseeings can be seen on the Internet as well as in all the popular and heavy books for tourists, the information which the guide may share, can be read in the written guides and travel advices, but it's the unique feeling and atmosphere which can't be found and read about - it has to be felt and we need to live it if we want to remember it!

What I will remember most from Belgrad is Skardalija - the party street with the pavements and amazing atmosphere - I didn't feel like a guest there because it's so cozy.... I will also remember their rakia - can be found everywhere and is very popular. Yes, may be a little tough if you're not used to it, so be careful and drink slowly! It's highly alcoholic and sometimes may not be exactly "tasty"...
Then the pleskavitsi - you can eat pleskavitsa everywhere you go and it's delicious and made of good meat. And a lot of meat as well. They combine it with literally everything - fresh vegetables, potatoes, rice, anything you may want. If however you're in the mood to try something without meat this may be challenging as they can barely offer something vegetarian except for the salads or french fries called "purzhen kartoff" - still tasty!
But there are things beyond food in Serbia as well! The other remarkable thing they have in Belgrade is the great place where the Danube meets Sava - it's a huge water space with walking area around and is amazing for a nice walk or just random chilling on the benches. There are many people in the evenings and it's another party place since the atmosphere is extremely joyful.

So go, discover and live! The moments on the road are the happiest and the most desired ones!
