Wake Up! - Varvara Day 2
Had a second day at the Wake Up beach. It is amazing and I couldn't stop myself from visiting it again. This time the water was not as clean as the previous day, however the place was still as wild and great!
As I have already tried the yoga, this time I decided that I can skip it and try something new instead. Krassen still had a group and everyone is always welcomed to join, it's a very open event, however I was not in a workout mode.
I also like to try something new and see a different view or the same from a different angle as this gives amazing opportunities. Taking a walk on the cliffs on the left, I followed a path between the trees and bushes and if you follow it to the end you will be able to enjoy the same view - there is a very small secluded area where the sea touches the shore and manages to transform the rocks into pebble beach. It looked bery private. There were people who were beaching there so I didn't get close as it was their private space and I was already coming from a beach which was not that intimate so decided I didn't want to take the privacy away however if you manage to get there first you will be able to try it and see it the pebbles are huge or one can walk on them with bare feet, whether the water is as warm and nice as on the other beach...
No matter whether the answer is yes or no, whether it looks and feels great, it is still nice to explore the place and find a new beach, even though it may not be an official one, there are no bars, no umbrellas, no waitress, etc.
Still had great time and finished the evening in a very interesting place called "Startsi Razboinitsi" which means "Old Bandit Men" - had a great salad with tomatoes, cheese and olives pasta as well as humus which goes perfectly well with home made soda bread with olives - if you want to try the soda bread, just to let you know- you need to order it when making the reservation, they can't do it otherwise. Also tried the French fries and they were great - made there and not frozen who knows when. They tasted great! I'm very happy with the restaurant choice! Also had a glass of white wine - just one but it was perfect and tasty!
Overall - Varvara proved to be a very suitable place if looking for a wild, yet comfortable small beach and a nice restaurant to have dinner at. Don't have pics of the place but we had dinner in the garden and it was like we were visiting someone in their home garden - vintage style, the atmosphere was very leisure!
Besides the sea at this secluded area is very warm and welcoming! And so are everyone I met there!
