Corfu - Paradise Beach
There are amazing
full-day boat trips which give you the opportunity to go to a number of
magnificent places with one trip.
One of the options we
had costed 32 euros per person and included 3 stops - caves, where we could
swim, a gorgeous beach where we would have BBQ party with enough food, drinks
and wine for everyone and the third stop was a town.
What we chose however,
was a relatively shorter boat trip which costed 20 euro and covered the caves
nearby and the visit to the Paradise beach. There are a number of opinions.
Before leaving a saw a review saying that it's not worth it - for less money
tourists can visit another beach nearby which was even better. However when the
opportunity presented itself, we took it and I have absolutely no
regrets!
So we leave with the
boat from Paleokastritsa. Our first stop are the caves. Honestly, I don't find
anything impressive in this so would be disappointed if they were all I'd seen
that day.
Next stop is the
magnificent Paradise beach. It can only be reached by water so a trip or water
taxi are the few options. The boat just leaves you there and you can spend as
much time as you wish, just have to be back on the last boat leaving from there
at 6 o'clock.
A few tips: Be careful
when jumping off the boar wearing flip-flops. A friend of mine almost lost one
of his.
Note that it's a pebbled
beach - very small, nice and rounded pebbles, but still not the most
comfortable ground for your feet.
It’s a wild beach – don’t
expect any beach bars or toilette. Note this when leaving for the beach.
